Vice President of Engineering Project Management – HVAC
We are currently seeking candidates for a Vice President of Engineering Project Management – HVAC to join a highly successful manufacturing and distribution organization located in New York, NY 10104. The Vice President will manage a dynamic team dedicated to completing complex HVAC projects, delivering exceptional HVAC solutions to clients. The Vice President of Engineering Project Management – HVAC will play a key role in project oversight and management, team leadership, budgeting, stakeholder relations, and process optimization. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of project management experience in HVAC, Construction, or related industry.
Location: New York, NY 10104
Compensation: $170,000 – $185,000 base salary
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement project management strategies and workflows to optimize efficiency, enhance quality, and increase profitability across all projects
- Supervise the management of project timelines, financials, and resources, ensuring that each project is completed on time, within budget, and meets client expectations
- Manage a team of project managers by providing leadership, mentorship, and constructive feedback to foster both project success and professional development within the team
- Work closely with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to promote clear alignment on project goals
- Communicate with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to provide progress updates, and address any changes in scope or schedule
- Anticipate potential risks during the project lifecycle and develop proactive mitigation plans to ensure successful project delivery
- Track and analyze project performance metrics to ensure adherence to established quality standards, budgetary constraints, and project timelines
- Utilize technical expertise in HVAC design, installation, and maintenance to troubleshoot and resolve engineering challenges
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, HVAC, Electrical, or similar)
- 10+ years of project management experience in HVAC, construction, or related industry
- 4+ years of team management or team leadership experience
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- PMP certification highly preferred
- Proven ability to manage complex projects, deliver exceptional results, and mitigate risk
- Strong technical skills, including project management software and engineering design tools
- Previous experience with Primavera and AutoCAD, or similar
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, equipment, and engineering principles
