Staff Accountant
We are currently seeking candidates for a Staff Accountant at a global professional services co. with a location in Kendall Square, Cambridge, MA, 02142. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience (including internships) in general accounting (A/P and A/R) and month-end close.
Yearly salary: Up to $75K (based on relative work experience) within a 40-hour work week.
On-site five days per week.
Responsibilities:
- Process payment requests, checks, wires, and ACH transactions
- Prepare accounts payable checks
- Process expense reimbursements
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
- Cash Applications: Process incoming payments – Post cash and receivables to the proper accounts
- Balance bank deposits to accounting system
- Post journal entries for payroll
- Maintain new and existing vendor information – Maintain sales and use tax spreadsheets
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2 years of accounting experience (including internships)
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong sense of urgency
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be proficient in MS Excel
