Senior UI/UX Specialist (Fractional) – Software – New York, NY 10104 – REMOTE
We are currently seeking candidates for a Senior UI/UX Specialist. The role is with a rapidly growing software company based in New York, NY 10104. The UI/UX Specialist will work closely with product managers to establish design standards, design new features, and liaise with the engineering team during implementations. Candidates who would like to work 100% REMOTE will be considered for the role. All candidates must be located in the US.
This is a 12+ month assignment that will pay $70-$85 per hour. The hours will vary from week to week ranging from 15hrs to 40 hrs per week.
Responsibilities:
- Lead UX design and information architecture for the firm’s suite of products.
- Design interface mockups for new product features and functionality enhancements.
- Create and maintain detailed design documentation, including design guidelines.
- Participate actively in product design discussions and brainstorming sessions.
- Ensure design consistency by adhering to Material Design principles across all platforms.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers and engineers, in an Agile environment.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in UI/UX design, preferably within a SaaS environment.
- Proven experience designing for desktop, tablet, and smartphone displays.
- Strong understanding of information architecture and user-centered design principles.
- Expertise in creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups.
- Proficiency in design tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative Agile development process.
