Senior Tax Associate – Remote
A boutique public accounting firm located in San Francisco is looking to add a Senior Tax Associate to their growing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in tax compliance, planning, and strategy for high-net-worth individuals and complex partnership structures. This role requires strong technical skills, exceptional client relationship management, and the ability to mentor junior staff. This role will offer up to $110,000 annually, excellent benefits, and 100% remote work schedule!
Key Responsibilities:
- Tax Compliance and Planning: Oversee the preparation and review of federal and state tax returns for high-net-worth individuals and partnerships. Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and enhance client wealth.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs and providing tailored solutions. Serve as a trusted advisor, proactively communicating tax-related matters.
- Partnership Tax Expertise: Advise clients on partnership tax issues, including allocation of income, deductions, and credits, as well as compliance with partnership tax rules and regulations.
- Mentorship and Leadership: Mentor and train junior tax staff, fostering a collaborative and educational environment. Lead tax projects and ensure timely delivery of services.
- Research and Analysis: Stay up-to-date with current tax laws, regulations, and trends affecting high net worth individuals and partnerships. Conduct thorough research to support complex tax planning strategies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including estate planning, investment advisory, and legal services, to provide comprehensive solutions to clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree in Taxation or related field preferred.
- CPA or equivalent certification required.
- 3- 5+ years of experience in public accounting or tax advisory roles, with a focus on high-net-worth individuals and partnerships.
- In-depth knowledge of partnership taxation and compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
