Senior Finance Associate (Hybrid, 3 days in office)
A successful private equity firm, located in Boston, that invests in software and digital commerce companies, is actively seeking a Senior Finance Associate to join their team. This person will be reporting to the Controller and CFO and they will be responsible for managing the daily accounting functions for the firm.
Responsibilities:
- Reconcile Fund and GP bank accounts.
- Draft wire transfers, as appropriate.
- Prepare weekly fund position reports.
- Prepare quarterly reconciliation of custody statements.
- Prepare quarterly financial statements and work papers for PE Funds and co-invest vehicles.
- Prepare quarterly capital reports for PE Funds and co-invest vehicles.
- As needed, work with the Assistant Controller on portfolio company reporting using iLevel.
- Calculate portfolio company IRRs.
- Assist with closings (acquisitions and dispositions).
- Prepare draft responses to limited partner requests for information.
- Process audit confirmation requests for limited partners.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of financial/accounting experience in a public accounting, private equity or investment firm.
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Knowledge of GAAP and partnership accounting; partnership tax a plus
