Senior Auditor
A boutique public accounting firm a highly skilled Senior Auditor to join their growing team! This role offers an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with public accounting experience in the nonprofit and/or affordable housing sector. The Senior Auditor will contribute to financial reporting, analysis, and decision-making processes critical to our firm’s success. This opportunity will offer a primarily remote schedule, with the occasional travel to the office located in the Bay Area.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements for our portfolio companies and investment funds
- Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data, including variance analysis and performance metrics
- Assist in the administration of investment funds, including capital calls, distributions, and investor reporting
- Facilitate audits by external auditors and manage audit deliverables
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices
- Monitor financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies
- Work closely with investment professionals and other departments to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA required
- 2-4 years of Audit experience within Public Accounting with exposure to nonprofit or affordable housing clients
- Strong understanding of investment accounting principles, including fair value measurements and GAAP
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
