Senior Accountant – Wealth Management
Our client, a prestigious multi-family office, is looking to add a Senior Accountant to their team of dynamic professionals! The Senior Accountant will be a key member of the team and assist with a range of responsibilities including portfolio accounting, AR/AP, fixed assets, and treasury. The Senior Accountant will also have a working knowledge of venture, private equity and real estate fund accounting, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment!
This role is a great opportunity for an accounting professional who wants to work closely with a CFO and grow their skillset in the UHNW investment advisory space.
Responsibilities:
- Accounts receivable and accounts payable processing
- Monthly/Quarterly/YTD closing process
- Research and analyze income statement accounts
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports (balance sheet, income statement, statement of members’ equity and cash flow statement)
- Maintain general ledger integrity
- Develop and interpret statistical and accounting information
- Oversee the firm’s daily treasury operations
- Develop and maintain account reconciliations
- Review and ensure accuracy of the quarterly close packages prepared by the Fund administrator
- Manage the daily operational and fund administration requirements
- Coordinate tasks with the fund administrator, tax, audit and company analysts
- Work closely with the assistant controller on firm KPI’s and other financial analysis
- Assist with the year-end financial audits related to various real estate and venture capital funds
- Support the assistant controller in preparation of budgeting and forecasting reports
- Assist the assistant controller with various ad-hoc projects and miscellaneous entity filings
Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Masters degree in Accounting
- 3+ years of accounting experience (PE/fund accounting)
- Public accounting experience would be a big plus
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Business Central (Navision) or another ERP system
- Knowledge of various payroll and expense processing software (ADP, Paychex, CPS, Certify, Expensify, etc.)
- Working knowledge of venture, private equity and real estate fund accounting
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Accounting for Investment Companies under ASC 946 knowledge
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Adobe and Outlook
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
