Senior Accountant ($120k)
Our client is a family office located in the Fort Worth area that invests in the alternative assets and real estate space. As they are experiencing heavy growth, they are looking to add a Senior Accountant to their boutique back office team.
Reporting directly to the CFO, the Senior Accountant will be exposed to all areas of a rapidly growing firm and be responsible for the daily accounting functions of the business venture and real estate funds. This role will wear multiple hats and not only work on the daily functions of a business but also have a working knowledge of venture, private equity and real estate accounting.
Responsibilities:
- Providing financial analysis of the operating company financials that will help inform the decisions related to treasury and asset allocation
- Collaborating with service providers to ensure timely and accurate books are maintained for the family office
- Monthly/Quarterly/YTD closing process
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports (balance sheet, income statement, statement of members’ equity and cash flow statement)
- Maintaining general ledger integrity
- Develop and interpret statistical and accounting information
- In charge of the firm’s daily treasury operations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Accounting required, CPA is a plus
- 3-6 years of experience in a family office, real estate or investment management accounting
- Candidate will have strong Microsoft Office skills
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Ability to learn quickly, adapt to unexpected issues and to work with others
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly entrepreneurial environment
