Senior Accountant (Onsite, Worcester)
A growing manufacturing company, located near Worcester, MA is seeking an experience Senior Accountant to join their team. This person must have strong engineering/manufacturing industry experience and ideally 4-6+ years under their belt. This is an onsite role and is offering up to 105K base. Responsibilities and Qualifications:
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) for manufacturing/engineering operations
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliation of general ledger accounts and preparation of journal entries
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial planning processes
- Review and analyze cost structures, production variances, inventory levels, and overhead allocation to ensure proper costing methods and accuracy
- Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions, balance sheet accounts, and support audits by preparing schedules and documentation as needed
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations and prepare tax filings as required
- Analyze financial data to provide insights into company performance, profitability, and cost savings opportunities
- Maintain strong internal controls and assist with risk management procedures to safeguard assets and ensure financial accuracy
- Must have 4-6+ years of accounting experience within a manufacturing/engineering environment
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate with team members and various stakeholders
- Must be willing to work onsite 5X a week
