Senior Accountant – (REMOTE)
We are currently seeking candidates for a Senior Accountant opportunity with a highly successful Venture Capital firm located in New York, NY. The Senior Accountant will be involved with firm and management company accounting. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining general ledger, supporting accounts payable, assisting with month-end close, working with external auditors, and performing financial reporting and analysis. Experience with NetSuite is a key requirement for this position.
This is a 6+ month contract opportunity, paying $60-$70/hour (depending on experience).
This position offers 100% remote flexibility.
Responsibilities:
- Support accounting processes for firm and management company, ensuring timeliness and accuracy
- Perform general ledger accounting
- Support accounts payable, and assist with processing (as needed)
- Assist with month-end close process
- Develop and deliver financial reporting and financial analysis to senior leaders
- Collaborate with external auditors and ensure accuracy of financial statements
- Contribute to special projects (as needed)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or related), and CPA preferred
- 8+ years of hands-on corporate accounting experience
- Previous experience in Investment Management industry
- Strong experience and working knowledge of NetSuite (REQUIRED)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to navigate competing deadlines
- Great organization, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to thrive independently and collaboratively
