Title: Personal Injury Defense Attorney
Location: Manhattan
Compensation: up to $175k depending on experience
A boutique law firm in Manhattan specializing in Personal Injury Defense seeks an attorney with 3+ years of experience. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, with strong negotiating skills, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment. They must manage and advance cases independently, litigate claims, and take them to trial when necessary. Clients include national and multinational companies.
Qualifications:
- JD from an accredited law school
- Must be admitted to practice in the state of New York
- 3+ years’ experience with civil defense litigation
- Personal injury defense experience preferred
- Deposition experience is required, Trial experience is a plus
- Experience drafting status reports
- Superior written and oral communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Independently manage a litigation caseload, working cases from beginning to end
- Regularly handle depositions
- Communicate with clients and provide status reports
