Payroll Manager – (100% Remote)
We are currently seeking candidates for a Payroll Manager opportunity with a highly successful consumer services organization offering REMOTE flexibility. The Payroll Manager will be responsible for processing all payroll for 3,000+ employees in the US and Canada. The ideal candidate will have 8-10+ years of related payroll experience.
This is a 2-3 month contract opportunity, paying $60-$75/hour (depending on experience) within a 40-hour work-week.
Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly exempt and non-exempt payroll for 3,000+ employees using Paycor
- Prepare and record all payroll related journal entries in the General Ledger
- Perform payroll expense reconciliation a monthly basis
- Review employee/payroll records in Paycor
- Perform monthly close activities, including certain balance sheet reconciliations, such as accrued payroll and accrued bonus
- Apply for new states ID's as Employees are hired in new states
- Identify, research and resolve company and employee payroll tax issues
- Review 941’s to make sure they are accurate
- Assist with preparation for annual financial statement audit
- Support special projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 8-10+ years of payroll tax experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Strong experience with multi-state payroll taxation
- Previous experience with Paycor
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven
