Manager, Fund Accounting – Boston – Hybrid – Base Salary up to $140k
We are seeking a candidate with 4-6 years of experience in private equity accounting. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of partnership accounting, experience managing direct reports, and a background in client-facing roles.
Responsibilities:
- In-depth understanding of fund partnership agreements
- Proficiency in key accounting systems
- Coordinate investor communications, including capital call and distribution notices, and capital balance statements.
- Prepare management fee calculations, invoices, and journal entries
- Review daily and monthly cash reconciliations
- Update allocation/waterfall models on a quarterly basis
- Prepare fund financial statements (including Statements of Assets and Liabilities, Partners’ Capital, Operations, and Cash Flow)
- Calculate private equity benchmark returns
- Prepare materials for annual audits
- Manage direct relationships with clients, including conducting weekly update calls and ensuring adherence to agreed timelines and deliverables.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required. CPA highly desired.
