Fund Accountant (Asset Management)

Remote opportunity in Fort Lauderdale or Boston, MA

Our client, a growing and successful asset management company specializing in private credit, is looking for a Fund Accountant to join their team! This role is currently full remote but will be expected to work out of the Fort Lauderdale, FL or Boston, MA office in a few months. The Fund Accountant will work closely with the Director of Accounting as well as the Director of Accounting and other cross-functional teams.

The Fund accountant will be responsible for performing tasks related to accounting, reporting and investor communications. The ideal Fund Accountant will be a sharp accounting professional who has experience in public accounting auditing PE/Fund companies, and a passion for the asset management industry.


  • Work as part of the operations team and report to the Director of Finance and Director of Accounting
  • Oversee a set of funds including recording transactions in the GL, and reconciling cash and positions daily
  • Work in various bank accounts that includes cash movements between entities and wire payments for deal funding as needed
  • Prepare quarterly/annual financial statements
  • Maintain and prepare interest collection schedules monthly
  • Prepare capital call and distribution notices
  • Update various schedules related to the portfolio and fund performance metrics
  • Assist with quarterly/annual regulatory filings
  • Prepare capital account statements
  • Working in the investor portal
  • Assist the team with the annual audits
  • Use Excel and other Microsoft Office tools regularly
  • Partake in ad-hoc reports and projects


  • BA/BS in Accounting/Finance is required
  • 1-3 years of fund accounting experience
  • Experience with financial statements and financial reporting
  • Working knowledge of various accounting software, preferably FIS Investran
  • Previous experience working in a private equity/private credit firm would be plus!
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
