Fund Accountant (Hybrid Boston)
A successful Investment Management Firm, based in Boston is actively seeking a 2-4+ year Fund Accountant to join their team! The ideal profile has public audit/accounting experience working with financial services/PE/Hedge fund clients, or a mix of public accounting and private industry fund accounting. Responsibilities and Qualifications:
- Responsible for overseeing the preparation and execution of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the firm’s funds and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards and requirements
- Work closely with the fund administrator to ensure timely and accurate record keeping
- Assist in year-end audits and tax filings
- Monitor and resolve discrepancies related to portfolio valuations, cash reconciliations and fund transactions
- Assist with the implementation of best practices and process improvements within the fund accounting function
- Prepare performance reporting packages and prepare NAV and management fee calculations
- Must be willing to work on a hybrid schedule in Boston
- 2-4+ years of public accounting/audit experience working with PE, hedge fund or financial services clients, or a mix of public accounting and private industry fund accounting
- CPA is strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required
