Bilingual Financial Controller – Miami
My client is seeking a detail-oriented, bilingual (English/Spanish) Controller to join a dynamic team a leading player in the shipping and logistics industry. The Controller will play a key role in overseeing all financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and driving financial performance within our rapidly growing business. This position is ideal for an experienced finance professional with strong accounting and management skills, as well as an in-depth understanding of the complexities of the logistics and transportation industry. Candidates must be fluent in Spanish and willing to be onsite 5 days/week!
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting principles and company policies
- Cash management, management of bank accounts and bank reconciliations
- Manage all AP/AR approvals and review monthly reports
- Review general ledger entries for all payments
- Maintain records for taxes and other items withheld from payroll
- Coordinate biweekly payroll process and act as liaison with the firm’s payroll company
- Work with outside auditors with the consolidation package and annual review
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of experience as a senior-level accounting or Finance manager
- CPA required
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks
- Knowledge of national and local tax regulations and compliance reporting
- Must be fluent in English and Spanish
- Must be willing to be onsite 5 days/week
