Controller (Onsite, New York)
A successful and growing jewelry business, located in New York, is actively seeking a seasoned Controller to join their growing team! This person will be primarily responsible for quarterly and annual reporting and must have a strong retail accounting background. Responsibilities and Qualifications:
- Responsible for managing and completing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensuring compliance with GAAP standards
- Inventory and Cost Accounting (responsible for inventory management)
- Responsible for monitoring cash flow modeling and financial performance
- Previous Managerial experience required, this role will be overseeing a team of 3-5 people
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required (CPA or CMA strongly preferred)
- 7-10+ years of corporate accounting experience within the wholesale, manufacturing or retail industries required
- Must be willing and able to work fully onsite, 5X a week
