Collections Supervisor – Midtown NY – HVAC Manufacturing
Our team is working with a leading HVAC Manufacturing company looking to hire a Collections Supervisor to lead their Accounts Receivable/Collections function. Open due to growth, this individual would spearhead the revenue management function within the organization. The individual would manage the collections life cycle from inception of invoice through final payment collaborating with internal engineering teams on billing measurement. The ideal candidate would be coming out of a Construction and/or Engineering environment with exposure to Retainage & Lien Waver contracts.
Responsibilities:

Oversee the full cycle of accounts receivable, from invoice creation to payment receipt. Ensure timely follow-up on overdue accounts, escalate problematic cases, and maintain clear communication with vendors and customers.

Build and maintain positive relationships with construction vendors and clients. Resolve disputes and address payment issues professionally, while balancing the company’s financial needs and customer satisfaction.

Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly collections reports for senior management.

Provide insights into aging accounts, trends, and collections performance, including identifying opportunities to improve processes.

Work closely with the Sales and Finance departments to resolve billing discrepancies, address customer concerns, and ensure that accounts are properly reconciled.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, or a related field

Experience working in the HVAC manufacturing or construction industry is highly preferred.

Experience with Lien Waver & Retainage contracts

Strong understanding of accounts receivable and collections processes

Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and vendors.
