Collections Specialist (Hybrid, Manhattan, NY)

A highly successful manufacturing and distribution company, located in Manhattan in New York City, is actively seeking a 5-10+ year Collections Specialist to join their team! Responsibilities and Qualifications:

  • Responsible for managing accounts receivable processes and ensuring timely collections of any overdue payments
  • Consistent client communications including: negotiating payment plans, resolving billing disputes etc.
  • Account reconciliation and ability to identify discrepancies within accounts if/when they arise
  • Strong negotiation skills for payment terms with clients
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 5-10+ years of experience working in collections, AR, or credit management (ideally within a manufacturing, or B2B product industry)
  • Strong customer experience as well as ERP systems experience
  • Strong MS Office skills (particularly Excel)
  • Must be willing to work on a hybrid schedule in Manhattan
