Chief Financial Officer – Luxury Goods – Nassau County, NY

We are currently seeking candidates for a CFO position located in Nassau County, NY. The role is with a top tier jewelry manufacturer and the VP will oversee all financial, accounting, and human resources functions. The ideal candidate will have strong industry experience in jewelry manufacturing and bring deep expertise in accounting, finance, and audit processes. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring financial stability, guiding strategic growth, and maintaining compliance with audit requirements.

This is a full-time permanent position that will pay $250K base salary plus 20% bonus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support business goals and drive profitability.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership on growth opportunities and risk management.
  • Manage all aspects of accounting, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and month-end close.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and manage the annual audit process, acting as the primary liaison with external auditors.
  • Ensure internal controls and policies are in place to safeguard the company’s assets and financial integrity.
  • Oversee the HR function, including payroll, benefits administration, and compliance with labor laws and company policies.
  • Partner with executive leadership to drive long-term financial planning and business development.
  • Lead financial modeling and scenario analysis for business growth, new product lines, and market expansion.
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and cost control to ensure optimal financial health.
  • Provide financial guidance for inventory management, costing, and production planning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s/MBA preferred).
  • CPA designation preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Jewelry manufacturing industry experience (required).
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, audit processes, and internal controls.
  • Experience overseeing human resources functions, including payroll and benefits administration.
