Assistant Controller – Rhode Island
We are seeking an Assistant Controller with strong technical accounting expertise and leadership abilities. You will oversee daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and budgeting activities. CPA is required for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of senior and staff accountants
- Oversee daily finance department activities such as AP/AR, cash management, and bank reconciliation.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and collaborate with other teams to prepare the financial packages for management
- Conduct semi-annual and annual performance reviews for team members.
- Manage the annual audit process for audited financial statements.
- Assist the tax firm with preparing documentation and reporting for tax filings.
- Knowledge of financial software programs
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting is required.
- CPA required.
