Senior Cost Accountant

We are currently seeking candidates for a Senior Cost Accountant at a textile manufacturing co. located in Fall River, MA, 02720. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.

This is a temporary role (est. duration 6+ months) with an opportunity of extension and/or permanent opportunity.

Hourly pay rate: Up to $65.00 (based on relative work experience).



  • Support financial audits, month-end closing, and other ad-hoc requests
  • Assist with preparing analysis of plant financial data to quantify cost savings opportunities
  • Analyze monthly fluctuations in volume and amounts as compared to prior months and budget
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and standard costs
  • Ownership of company standard cost system, providing insight and analysis of drivers of performance
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory analysis and reconciliations
  • Support management with data analysis to monitor inventory stock levels
  • Provide operations with financial analysis and thorough reporting of plant metrics and KPI’s
  • Ensure product costings are accurate and up to date
  • Analyze job production costs, material variances and sales margins
  • Reconcile and reduce inventory variance accounts
  • Calculate/analyze labor overhead costs


  • Bachelor’s degree Accounting or Finance and understanding of GAAP accounting required
  • Minimum of 7 years of cost accounting experience
  • Proficient in Excel a must
  • Experience with top tier accounting/ERP systems
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work in a deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
