Tax Senior/Supervisor

Looking to get out of Public Accounting before another busy season with long hours, this job is for you! Our client, a Prestigious Family Office located North of Boston, seeks a Tax Senior/Supervisor to join their team. This position will report to the Tax Director.

Primary Responsibilities:

The tax department provides tax planning and return preparation for high-net-worth individuals, trusts and partnerships. As part of this team, you will service our family office clients in multiple areas of their tax compliance.

  • Prepare individual, trust, gift, partnership tax returns
  • Assist with tax planning for preparation of quarterly estimated tax payments
  • Assist with tax audits, notices, and tax research projects
  • Take ownership of tasks and be able to work with others to prioritize work assignments
  • Handle multiple engagements at one time and meet deadlines
  • Produce deliverables that are clear, concise, thorough and of professional quality
  • Dedicated to meeting and exceeding the expectations and requirements of all clients
  • Handle routine client tax questions, research tax issues, and work with clients to collect necessary information for tax return completion and compliance
  • Stay current on new tax legislation
  • Assist in the review of client transactions for purposes of preparing various 1099 forms
  • Other tax duties and responsibilities as needed



Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • 2-5 years of experience with federal, state individual and trust income tax
  • Experience with CCH Axcess or ProSystem Fx is preferred
  • Financial Services or Family Office experience is a plus
  • CPA and/or MS in Taxation is a plus


  • Candidates should be prepared to meet challenging client requirements and provide value added services
  • Possess strong communication (both oral and written), interpersonal, and analytical skills
  • Strong technical skills in accounting, tax preparation and research experience a plus
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while keeping clients and members of the team informed
  • Must be comfortable working collaboratively in a small corporate office with strong organization skills and careful attention to detail
  • Experienced with Microsoft Excel and Adobe

Will pay $80-125K + Bonus!
