Cloud Infrastructure Manager

Our client a large emerging publicly traded biotech company located in Boston is seeking an IT professional with experience leading all IT cloud-based infrastructure supporting an outsourced company model leveraging key partners, solutions, and technologies typical of current growing pharma and biotech companies. This role manages IT infrastructure that is cloud first by design working with current and future partners (CROs, CMOs, 3PL, Cloud based solutions, Virtual teams, MSPs, ISPs, and mission critical AV infrastructure-solutions).



  • MS Azure cloud oversight working with an MSP comanaged tenant
  • Multiyear roadmap design and execution for current / future cloud infrastructure (IAAS): 2 sites (MA, IN) and future field equipment for sales, marketing, and medical affairs teams
  • Experience with cloud VDI administration and consumption
  • Design changes, lockdown, control, and monitoring of existing ISPs, Routers, Switches, Telco (working with MSPs) and to be evolved for future large-scale commercialization
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cloud access security, DRP-BC, WAN optimization (technologies in use: Cisco Meraki, Microsoft E3-E5, Arctic Wolf, CrowdStrike, Druva Backup/DLP, Riverbed cloud accelerator, Intune MAM)
  • Responsibility for onsite help desk contractors, ticket system (ServiceNow to be deployed)
  • Liaison with IT BPO, IT Security, IT Compliance, IT Business Analysis/PM staff, IT vendors as we document infrastructure and qualify it for regulations (understanding SOPs, Policies, SWIs, Flow Charts, WAN/LAN/Cloud diagrams, change control around IT, & IT event management)
  • Cloud Print Services and Site Printer Management & Integration


Required Qualifications:

  • Cloud first pharma or biotech org pre-post commercialization (GxP FDA regulated)
  • Leverage outside MSPs for most infrastructure services (but experience at a site firewall, router, switch, AP administration level when needed)
  • Managed IT consultants and contractors around infrastructure level activities
  • Audio Visual infrastructure administration (15+ AV meeting rooms and equipment using Zoom, MS Teams, and segregated AV networking)
  • Leverage best of bread cloud technologies and service providers (MSPs, ISPs)
  • ServiceNow administration and running help desk resources, ticketing, leveraging of comanaged MSP to resolve tickets, manage equipment, and SLAs
  • ITIL experience
  • Uses teamwork to work cooperatively toward the most effective solutions, championing the best ideas of team members, and assisting where help is needed yet is capable of highly independent work when efficiency is required
