SENIOR FUND ACCOUNTANT

Job Description:

Daley And Associates is conducting a candidate search for a Senior Fund Accountant to join our Client, an Asset Management firm and support their growing hedge fund organization. The incumbent will  will work directly with the COO/CFO, Controller, and the fund accounting team to administer the financial and accounting responsibilities for the hedge fund. Located just south of Boston, our Client is a well-established Asset/Investment Management Firm and provides competitive base salary, performance-based bonus, competitive benefits, and flexible hybrid schedule.
 

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Assist Controller with daily, weekly and monthly fund accounting activities
  • Coordinate with Fund Administrator regarding any noted exceptions to reported NAVs and fund reporting
  • Review and track Counterparty collateral and swap settlements
  • Assist Controller and CFO with fund cash management activities, preparation of monthly tax allocation analysis, year-end audits, financial statements, tax filing preparation
  • Lead preparation of fund data for market documents, monthly reporting, and due diligence requests to ensure timeliness and accuracy
  • Maintain appropriate fund books and records for completeness and accuracy
  • Coordinate fund documentation requirements for prime brokers, banks, counterparties and executing brokers

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance
  • 3-5 years’ experience at hedge fund, asset or investment management firm, or third-party administrator
  • Accounting for Alternative Investment Funds strongly preferred
  • Self-starter with passion for fund accounting and strong analytical and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Bloomberg
