Human Resource/People Operations Coordinator

A successful non-profit organization located in Boston is looking to expand their HR team and hire a People Operations Associate! This non-profit launched in 2016 and provides accelerated education opportunities to children who are living in poverty and or crisis in Africa. This role will offer direct exposure to work with the CEO, exposure to the communications and operations of the company. Additionally, you will be responsible for a variety of HR support including, creating interview schedules, creating offer letters, assisting with onboarding, event planning and provide administrative support to the CEO.

Responsibilities:

People Operations/HR Support

  • Serve as the point of contact for the People Operations team
  • Support all functions of the People Operations including, recruiting, hiring, onboarding/offboarding, benefits & compensation, visa requests, payroll, time off request and performance management
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to create job descriptions, work with the communications team to promote job listings, assist with screening candidates and scheduling interviews
  • Draft offer letters, complete reference and background checks
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding including procuring laptops, creating onboarding schedules, organizing team meet and greets and training sessions
  • Plan/coordinate organization and team events/trainings
  • Assist with booking travel
  • Manage the performance review process
  • Analyze/develop the talent acquisition management and retention strategy
  • Maintain an up-to-date document repository for organization documents including internal policies and procedures, staff files, and other operational records

Executive/Administrative support

  • Support the CEO in scheduling meetings, booking travel, calendar management
  • Manage the phone, answer/direct calls to relevant team members
  • Process incoming mail
  • Monitor the general mailbox
  • Prepare team meeting agendas

Qualifications:

  • BA in Human Resource, Business, or related
  • 1-3 years of HR/administrative work
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office
