Technical Project Manager/Scrum Master

Our client, a leading global asset manager in Boston, Massachusetts is seeking a Technical Project Manager who has a solid understanding of financial services with knowledge of one or more of the following areas: Index Portfolio Management, Trade operations, Operations, Compliance, Performance, Business Development. The client is undergoing rapid growth of its technology team and is reengineering and redeveloping our suite of custom in-house software to meet their current and future needs including our move to the Cloud.

This is a hybrid role where there is an expectation for the individual to work in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with work from home days on Monday and Friday but there is some additional flexibility based on candidate qualifications. Candidates should be fully vaccinated and boosted.
 

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of overall Technical Project Management/Scrum Master experience, initiating and driving successful projects to completion
  • 2+ years of experience on managing large projects including 3rd party tools with a team of In-house engineers and external consultants
  • 3+ years of experience managing projects using various Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, Scrum Less and traditional software development methodology
  • Working experience of using collaboration tools like Gitlab, Jira and Confluence
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical major
  • Understanding of programming languages and object-oriented concepts
  • Understanding of relational databases, with emphasis on SQL server, data loading mechanisms and reporting
  • Detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to take initiative, seeing problems through to final completion
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, set goals and meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience of managing Cloud-based projects
  • Understanding of On-prem servers
  • Knowledge of various cloud platforms
  • Experience with Product Board
