Our Story

Mike Daley, who has distinguished himself in the executive search and contract staffing industry since 1982, is a Boston native. Mike began his career at a recruiting firm where he was consistently recognized as the top executive recruiter nationally. In 1990, he was promoted to national director. Following his time at the firm, Mike served as the President of an international recruiting firm, which included multiple companies. During his tenure there, Mike transformed a one-office, $1 million company, into a $100 million professional services organization with 14 offices nationwide.

In 2005, Mike pooled his extensive personal and professional network and business acumen to start Daley And Associates, LLC., along with a long-time colleague. Daley And Associates was founded with the focus of building a more relationship-driven model for executive search and contract staffing.

Shawn Flaherty, a Partner at Daley And Associates, has more than 15 years of business and contract staffing experience. Shawn worked in temporary and contract staffing for over 10 years in Massachusetts, with an International recruiting firm before he joined Daley And Associates as a Partner. As a result, Shawn adds a breadth of staffing knowledge and a strong, well-established network of professional contractors and temps. Prior to his staffing industry experience, Shawn spent more than 8 years as a partner in a private equity firm that specialized in leveraged buyouts for its own account, venture-backed investments and a public company investing through a hedge fund controlled by the firm.

Christyn Thatcher is the Chief Financial and Chief Operating Officer for Daley And Associates and is responsible for all non-sales activities. Christyn is an original member of the senior management team at Daley And Associates. Before joining the Daley team, Christyn spent 8 years elevating to the role of National Director of Administration and Operations for the North American Professional Services Division of the world’s second-largest staffing company. Christyn has over 16 years of progressive financial, technology, and operations management experience within the search and staffing industry. Christyn’s extensive skill set, communication skills, and leadership experience make her a highly valued and crucial member of the Daley And Associates team.

In 2013, Christyn was honored as ‘CFO of the Year’ by the Boston Business Journal.
