Senior Financial Analyst – Healthcare – Miami – Hybrid – Salary up to $130k
This is a key role in a growing healthcare company! By analyzing financial trends, preparing reports, and developing financial models, this individual will assist in budgeting and investment strategies. This role involves interpreting financial data, making forecasts, and collaborating across teams to drive financial success. The ideal candidate is technically skilled and able to manage large data sets.
Responsibilities:
- Calculate and analyze monthly IBNR/IBNP-Provider payables, ensuring accurate reconciliation of liability accruals.
- Assess financial performance, identify variances, and provide actionable insights and recommendations.
- Create monthly financial reviews for each payor, entity, and business line, including operational and financial KPIs.
- Analyze and document monthly gross margin results, highlighting variances against the budget.
- Develop and track key financial metrics and KPIs to evaluate business performance.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports and dashboards for senior management, showcasing key trends and actionable insights.
- Compile and organize data for the monthly reforecast process.
- Lead the annual budgeting cycle, managing timelines, databases, templates, validations, and reporting.
- Update budget and forecast data within the accounting system.
- Extract, transform, and analyze data from diverse sources to support financial decisions.
- Prepare scenario models and present outcome analyses for key financial decisions.
- Create a plan for new payor or service implementations, assessing revenue, margin, volume, and operational needs.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate data extraction, analysis, and reporting processes.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of financial statements and operational performance metrics.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate clear insights.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex formulas.
- Experience with automating data processes and familiarity with SQL.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools, especially Power BI, is highly preferred.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance.
