Global Controller (Hybrid, Boston)
A growing software company, located in Boston, is actively seeking a seasoned 10-15_ year accounting professional to join their team as a Global Controller. The ideal candidate has strong B2B SaaS experience with 10-15+ years under their belt. Responsibilities and Qualifications:
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring efficient and accurate financial reporting for the company
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and SaaS-specific accounting standards, including revenue recognition under ASC 606
- Oversee and manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
- Coordinate and manage the preparation of the company’s annual budget and financial forecasts, working closely with cross-functional teams to align financial goals
- Develop and maintain key financial and operational metrics (KPIs) to track company performance, ensuring the ability to analyze trends, costs, and profitability
- Manage cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity and optimizing cash management strategies
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, coordinating with external tax advisors to prepare and file tax returns
- Manage relationships with external auditors and coordinate the annual audit process, ensuring the timely completion of audits and the integrity of financial reporting
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
- CPA required
- Previous SaaS experience required
- Strong technical and organizational skills
- NetSuite Experience strongly preferred
