Acquisitions Underwriter
A successful Real Estate firm located in Boston is looking to bring on an Acquisitions Underwriter to their growing team. As the underwriter, you will oversee the expansion of the firm’s investment portfolio in the US, while gaining hands on experience in underwriting, due diligence, and asset management of commercial real estate properties. Candidates must have 1+ years of prior commercial real estate experience, knowledge of Argus software, and be willing to work onsite 5 days/week.
Responsibilities:
- Underwrite acquisition and development opportunities to include cash flow modeling, property valuations, investment analyses, and joint venture structuring
- Coordinate, collect, and compile financial analysis and due diligence materials
- Respond to requests from the investment committee, brokers, lenders, and the buyer or seller
- Review all due diligence materials and present findings to senior leaders
- Support the asset management functions including credit and capital committees
- Review property level operational budgets and provide economic lease analysis for new tenants and lease renewals
- Support the disposition team including regular interaction with property management, legal, and accounting teams
- Conduct waterfall analysis
- Conduct through research of select markets utilizing various databases
Qualifications:
- Bachelors’ degree in Finance, Economics, or Business
- 1-2 years of Real Estate analysis – cash flow modeling, property-level financial statements and basic accounting required
- Strong knowledge of Argus and Excel is required
- Must be willing to work onsite 5 days/week
