Finance Manager
A prominent venture capital firm located in Boston is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join their finance and accounting team. This position will be responsible for working with both the executive team and managing direct reports, on all aspects of finance operations. This position will also work closely with the financial reporting of the firm’s portfolio companies. This is a hybrid position and the firm is willing to pay up to $150k plus bonus.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Quarterly US GAAP Basis Reporting; annual US GAAP Basis audit

Working with internal tax department and external advisers regarding tax implication of complex investment transactions

Review of cash flow management, capital calls and cash and stock distributions

Work with partners on portfolio company cap table/round modeling and liquidation analyses

Create fund performance and waterfall analyses

Review and analysis of portfolio company financials in preparation for quarterly partner portfolio review meetings

Work with the CFO and VP Finance on projects to enhance the product of the team, department and firm
Qualifications:

6-9 years in Public Accounting or related experience in an in-house accounting & finance role; demonstrated professional and academic achievement

CPA or MBA preferred

Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting

Self-starter with strong project management and follow-through skills

Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects with the highest attention to detail.
