Vice President, Financial Planning and Analysis
Here’s a rare opportunity to join a large publicly traded financial services company as a Vice President in its Boston-based Alternative Investments group. The VP will report directly to the Alternative Investments group CEO.
The ideal candidate will be a forward-looking professional with strong planning and analysis experience in the alternative investments space. Solid fundamental accounting knowledge is a must. However, it is not necessary to be an accountant. The successful candidate will be a strong, decisive, results-oriented leader who can develop and manage relationships across the business and with a variety of partners while demonstrating a strong finance and business acumen.
Qualifications include a proven track record of advancement, leadership and business success with a minimum of 10 to 15 years of relevant experience (MBA/CPA and Financial Services); knowledge of the Asset Servicing Business; experience with budgeting and forecasting P&Ls; strategic planning, complex problem resolution and general management expertise; and the ability to influence senior management, establish and maintain collaborative partnerships and provide leadership across the organization and with external partners.
The vice president will provide strong divisional thought leadership and executive guidance; lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes; and prepare and deliver financial forecasts and projections on behalf of the division. He or she will prepare analysis, commentary, and presentation material for financial review meetings; manage relationships with geographic finance teams to ensure quality deliverable and proper information flow; and provide financial leadership to all future lift-outs and acquisitions.
Compensation will be $140,000 plus a bonus. That compares quite favorably with a national average salary of $103,000 for a vice president in the financial services sector, according to Indeed.com.
